Mint Overlays ("Mint Overlays," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Mint Overlays desktop app for live streamers on Windows, and the website mintoverlays.com. This policy covers the website and the app (together, the "Service").
The website. mintoverlays.com does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email, or payment information. It does not use advertising trackers.
Channel names you enter in the app. When you type a channel name for TikTok, Twitch, YouTube or Kick, the app uses it only to open a connection to that channel's public live event feed so your overlays can display it. Connecting to some platforms can involve third-party connection services, which process the channel name to make the connection. We never ask for your TikTok or other platform passwords.
Public live data. While connected, the app processes publicly visible live data (such as viewer nicknames, profile pictures, chat messages, and gift, like and share counts) on your own computer to show it in your overlays, sounds, games and automations. This data is already public on the platform when it is broadcast. It is not sent to our servers.
Your settings and files. Your boards, sounds, videos, points, scenes and other settings are stored on your own computer.
License checks. To confirm your license, the app sends your license key to Gumroad, and checks for updates from our update server, which receives your IP address and app version like any file download.
Reports you choose to send. If you press Report Issue, we receive your message, the email address you optionally give us, your app version and Windows version, and the recent part of the app's diagnostic log, which can include channel and viewer names from your live. We use this only to understand and fix the problem and to reply to you.
Services you turn on yourself. If you use optional features, such as ElevenLabs voices with your own API key, text you choose to have read aloud is sent to that service, and a web request you set up in an action is sent to the address you provide. Their own privacy policies apply.
We do not keep your live event data on our servers; it stays on your computer. Reports you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Mint Overlays is sold exclusively through Gumroad, a third-party payment platform. We never see or store your payment card details; that information is collected and processed entirely by Gumroad under its own privacy policy. Any personal information you provide during checkout (such as your email) is governed by Gumroad's policies, not this one. Affiliate sign-ups and commission payments are also handled by Gumroad.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may log IP addresses per Google's own policies. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell visitor data.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, consistent with the minimum age requirements of the platforms it connects to. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You can request details about, or deletion of, any information we hold about you by contacting us at mintoverlays@gmail.com. Since we retain minimal data, most requests can be resolved quickly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
